Clothing Production Technology Program
Elazığ Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School was established in accordance with the Senate Decision No. 39 dated 13.01.1995 at the YÖK General Assembly Meeting dated 06.02.1995 and in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880. He has been continuing education in Elazığ Organized Industrial Zone since 2010.
Textile, Clothing, Shoe and Leather Technology Department was opened within the Elazığ Organized Industrial Zone Vocational High School as of 2019; The Clothing Production Technology Program was opened within the relevant department and started to provide education as of the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.
Program Profile:
This program is subject to the first cycle degree system of 120 ECTS Credits in the field of Clothing Production Technology in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and program qualifications are met, graduating students receive an Associate Degree in Clothing Production Technology.
Two-year associate degree education is provided in the Clothing Production Technology Program. Students who graduate from this program receive the title of "Clothing Production Technician". The purpose of the Clothing Production Technology Program is; Open to national and international information sharing regarding the clothing production field; have the skills to plan, produce and manage products and processes under appropriate value conditions, taking into account technological, environmental and social sensitivities; To train qualified professional personnel who can meet the needs of the sector with reference to art, aesthetics and design. One of the aims of our program is to be beneficial to the country's economy by meeting the clothing modelist needs of large and medium-sized ready-to-wear enterprises and fashion houses of our country and city, taking into account the developments in the field of ready-made clothing.
Pattern preparation techniques courses, Ready-made clothing production courses, Basic art education, Fabric and material knowledge, Fashion painting courses, Sustainable fashion, Ready-made clothing and apparel machinery, Textile technology, Smart textiles, Draping techniques, Computerized pattern and design courses, Garment decoration techniques Courses such as Garment Technical Drawing, Brand Management and Marketing, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, Professional Ethics, Research Methods and Techniques, Communication Courses are included in the education plan of the Clothing Production Technology Program.
Teaching - learning methods and strategies within the scope of the program; It aims to provide students with knowledge and skills such as self-study, lifelong learning, observation, teaching to others, presenting, critical thinking, teamwork, and effective use of informatics. Individuals who graduate from the Clothing Production Technology program; They are trained as technicians with knowledge and skills in areas such as design, mould, production, quality control and shipment, and they make significant contributions to employment in the relevant departments of various institutions and organizations.
Educational Application Area and Program Opportunities:
In our program, courses are given by experienced and permanent faculty members. In addition, within the scope of university-industry cooperation, students receive Vocational Practice Training in industrial enterprises 2 days a week when they reach their second year. Our school has 1 Clothing Production Application Workshop, 1 Draping Application Workshop, Technical Drawing classes, Classrooms and Computer Laboratories that allow courses to be given.
Employment Profiles of Graduates:
Clothing Production Technology program graduates; It has a wide range of employment opportunities in the public sector and especially in private institutions. Our graduates can work in ready-made clothing workshops of public institutions and in the design, management, planning, mold, production, quality control and shipping (import-export) departments of the private sector. They can design and produce personalized models in their own workshops and make significant contributions to employment and the country's economy by establishing their own factories with grant support and different capital.
Graduates of the Clothing Production Technology program can continue to receive faculty education with DGS; They can take part in the Stylist and Modelist teams of important brands by taking undergraduate/graduate education at home and abroad. They can act as Style Consultants for famous people. Additionally, they can work as fashion editors and fashion photographers for fashion magazines, as fashion marketers and visual display managers for the retail industry, and as costume designers or costume managers in the private and public stage and television sectors.
Program Outcomes:
Adhering to Ataturk's Principles and Revolutions; They grow up as individuals who have the professional knowledge and skills to carry out education in production and the ability to use developing technologies in order to contribute to the development of the economic and social structure of the city, region and country.
Has basic knowledge of field-specific culture, aesthetics, methods, techniques and materials based on the qualifications gained at the secondary education level.
He uses the basic art and basic design, theoretical and applied knowledge he has acquired in his field.
Using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field, he/she interprets data, defines and analyzes problems, and creates practical solution suggestions.
Works alone, independently and/or collaboratively in a group.
Takes responsibility as a team member to solve problems encountered in applications related to the Design and Production field.
Takes part in project processes.
Evaluates their own work in the field of Design and Production and determines their learning needs.
Gains awareness of lifelong learning.
Directs his/her education to a further level of education in the same field or to a profession at the same level.
It identifies its target audience and establishes a relationship.
He accurately conveys topics related to his field to experts or non-experts.
He successfully carries out applications in his field.

Has environmental awareness and sufficient awareness of occupational health and safety issues.
Transfer to Upper Degree Programs:
Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their education and training in faculties that provide undergraduate education if they are successful in the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam).
